Over the past 12 years, Dr. Francis has successfully treated over 10,000 skin cancers with Mohs surgery. He is one of the few fellowship trained & board-certified Mohs surgeons in Sarasota. He is a firm believer that the Mohs technique of removing skin cancer provides the highest cure rate with minimal removal of normal surrounding tissue.
Dr. Francis has been published in numerous medical journals, presented multiple dermatology lectures, and has been featured in The New York Times, Bloomberg Businessweek, and Modern Healthcare. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology, Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery, Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, and a member of the American Medical Association.
In addition to his private practice, Dr. Francis is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Florida Department of Dermatology where he participates in the surgical education of dermatology residents and fellows, instructing them in Mohs and reconstructive surgery.
